SORRY FOR THE WAIT POP-UP.

The name of our final pop-up (before the opening of our permanent location) draws inspiration from rapper Lil' Wayne's iconic 2011 mixtape 'Sorry 4 the Wait'. The mixtape was named as an attempt to apologize for the continued delay of his ninth album, Tha Carter IV. Almost a year and a half in the making, we are finally looking forward to opening our doors in 2023. This exhibition is a public apology for our delay.

In this solo exhibition from Célia Rakotondrainy, we present the second presentation of mini-paintings from her series 'virtualité corporelle' explores the pursuit of unrealistic virtual aesthetics, body dysmorphia, and the social anxiety stemming from these societal challenges. This body of work challenges these norms by presenting new forms and bodies, tending towards the abstract while opening the possibility of a world where bodies can exist without the weight of judgment.
